Programs

Refer a candidate

Know someone who would be a good fit for CLR? Submit a referral below. We may reach out to them based on what you tell us, though it might be good for you to also encourage them to apply. We will pay you £5,000 if we end up hiring them. Further details:

  • The bonus applies to hires into permanent roles only, not to fellowships or other temporary programs.
  • £5,000 is for full-time hires. For part-time hires we scale the bonus to the fraction of full-time hours they work.
  • The bonus is paid if we hire the person within 12 months of your referral.
  • You become eligible for the bonus once the person has worked in the role for at least 120 days.
  • If two people refer the same candidate, the bonus goes to the earlier submission.
  • No bonus is paid for someone who is already in our pipeline, or someone we were already planning to contact ourselves.
  • You can't refer yourself.
  • The bonus cannot be paid to CLR employees, to employees of AI safety grantmaking organizations, or to anyone else for whom it would create a conflict of interest.
  • In cases of ambiguity we lean towards being generous.
